200 W. Lexington Street
We are excited to introduce the opening of The Meadow, a shared community space for all, designed to support safe, physically distant gathering. With picnic tables, amphitheater-style seating, shade, solar lighting, and wildflowers, the Meadow is perfect for outdoor dining, and low-key recreation and enjoyment. Throughout the Bromo Arts District and Market Center, you will find beautifully painted flowers and brightly colored flags designed to attract Meadow visitors to businesses and arts organizations, and vice versa.
The Meadow is open from dawn to dusk. We ask that all visitors treat The Meadow as you would a national park; please keep the area clean and be mindful of our neighbors.
This project is brought to you through Design for Distancing: Reopening Baltimore Together, an initiative of the City of Baltimore, Office of the Mayor and the Baltimore Development Corporation, in partnership with local nonprofit the Neighborhood Design Center. The Market Center Merchants Association and Bromo Arts District partnered with PI.KL Studio to design a concept for our community to safely gather and promote our local businesses and arts organizations.
